Carlos Giffoni- Writer, Musician, Video Game Creative Director/Producer.

Carlos Giffoni is a Venezuelan writer, musician, and video game creative director/producer currently living in LA. His most recent writing projects are two creator-owned comic book properties–Strayed published by Dark Horse, and Space Riders: Vortex of Darkness published by Black Mask.

Carlos was a singer in a punk band in Venezuela called ‘Las Escamas de Jopelino’ when he was 14. Since then, he has been involved in experimental music as a musician, curator (No Fun Fest,) and label-owner (No Fun Productions.) He has collaborated on records with Thurston Moore, Lee Ranaldo, Nels Cline, Jim O’Rourke, Prurient, and Merzbow among others. His most recent active music project is the band Rogue Squares, with experimental musician Elaine Carey.

Besides his sound work and writing work, Carlos also has over a decade of production and creative direction experience in the video game industry. He has worked on projects for League of Legends, South Park, Ugly Americans, The Daily Show, and other established properties.

Carlos has done several panels in festivals and conferences around the world; covering a wide range of topics that include experimental music history, video games development, and comic book writing and creation.

He lives near the beach with two cats–Viktor Fulgencio and Lou Reed.
